~ Dehesa Dragons Logo ~

This is a bit more detailed design of the Dehesa logo. We are assigned to complete a logo and print it, in order to place it on a T-Shirt. There might be a few changes made to the final product, but this image is my basic design, made in Photoshop. ~Kayla

-- Name Gif Project --

Hello guys! I made this animation using Adobe Flash. It was just simple tweening and moving objects, but I feel like it turned out fairly well for a first try.

~ Dehesa Logo Design ~

Hello guys! My latest assignment was to create a logo for Dehesa, using our name "Dehesa Dragons." I found a free transparent image of a dragon online, and simply recolored it using paint tools and blending the colors using different layer settings. I downloaded the font for free, and for each word, made half the letters pink and the other half blue. The circle behind the dragon was replicated, with some layers having an opacity change.

Adobe Illustrator Perspective Project

Hello guys! Here's my next finished Adobe Illustrator project. Similar to my house image, I needed three objects, which all led back to a common vanishing point. I built the two buildings out of squares, filling different textures in them for fun. The star also followed the same rules, leading to the same vanishing point. This was mostly a project to test out Illustrator's shapes and fillings, and of course, connecting to the vanishing point.

After Effects Shape Project~

Hey guys! ^^ here's my least project. I've been (attempting) to learn Adobe Illustrator, and working with various shape/fill tools that allowed me to create this scene. The goal here, for me personally, was to create three objects, and learn how to color them. Coloring was slightly difficult, created using shape templates to fill shape of the same variation with a set color. But in the end, it turned out okay. I hope you guys like it! Until next time!

Gif Project~

This is the finished product of our latest assignment: make a looping gif! In the form of stop motion animation, my friend helped me taking pictures of each frame. I put them together using Photoshop's timeline, and then drew the word "hi", while using my transform tools so it bends with the page. Then I rendered it to a looping gif! :3

Color Collage Project ~ Ft. Bentley!

Hello guys! So, here we have my first project post of the year. The assignment was to have the same image, presented in multiple ways. Using a picture of my dog, Bentley, I thought it would look cute to mask him, and place the masking multiple times along the page. With the original image being black and white, I added variation by coloring each of the image copies a different shade. Although that poked nice on it's own, I added one last touch by outlining each of the maskings in a lighter variation of their given color. Working with the saturation gave a bit of a different look, and the finished product turned out fairly well. What do you guys think? :3 That's all for now, I hope to post more project entries for you guys soon!

Introduction To My Life...

Hey guys! Welcome to my blog! I created this as a school assignment, and I hope to post my work for you all to keep up on throughout the school year. First off, a little bit about what I do. Currently, I'm learning skills in Adobe Photoshop and Pixelmator thanks to this class. However, outside of school I work in Sony Vegas Pro 12, making video edits! Click here for my Youtube! I should have a better designed introduction coming soon, as well as a montage to offer a better idea of what I'll be presenting. For now, I hope you guys enjoy my blog, as well as what's to come! ~ Kayla<3
